The people behind ALUM

Architecture, construction, and design for the project.

Architect

Works Progress Architecture

Founded in Portland in 2005 by Carrie Strickland, FAIA, WPA is a 100 percent woman-owned studio with offices in Portland and Los Angeles and more than 45 design awards, including a Progressive Architecture Award and the Chicago Athenaeum's American Architecture Award. The firm built its reputation on adaptive reuse in Portland's historic core before moving into new mixed-use, hotel, and multifamily buildings across the country, with a design approach that fits a building to its block first and its era second.

ASH Staging

The furnishing and staging division of ASH, the New York design and development firm behind The Dean in Providence, The Siren in Detroit, and Hotel Peter & Paul in New Orleans, each a historic building reimagined as a hotel and each named among the best new hotels in the country. ASH Staging furnishes homes from an inventory of designer and vintage pieces alongside custom work of its own, and has become the staging partner of choice for luxury listings in New York and the Hamptons. For ALUM, ASH is designing and furnishing the model residence and sales gallery, and setting the standard for how every home is delivered.
